A Kingston man died af­ter a two-ve­hi­cle crash this morn­ing on the Lacovia main road in St Eliz­a­beth.

The de­ceased has been iden­ti­fied as 44-year-old Michael Mat­thews of a Mountain View, Kingston 3 ad­dress.

Re­ports are that Mat­thews was driving a To­yo­ta Wish mo­tor car along the main road be­tween Lacovia and Santa Cruz a­bout 4 o'clock when he collided with another car travelling in the opposite direction.

Both driv­ers lost con­trol of their ve­hi­cles which crashed into an em­bank­ment.

Mat­thews was tak­en to the Black River hos­pi­tal where he was pro­nounced dead.
