THE EDITOR, Sir:
A year ago, I was encouraged by the announcement by Minister of Finance Dr Nigel Clarke that there would be a radical reform of public-sector board appointments on non-partisan grounds.
Since then, very little has been said or done, and with most public-sector boards of directors either up for reappointment or new representatives to be appointed, what exactly is the status of this issue?
Furthermore, I do hope that the suggestion of having published quarterly reports by public bodies is also part of the reforms.
