The second edition of the artist-led exhibition presenting 17 contemporary artists opened at the Olympia Gallery. Titled “… and I resumed the struggle”, Summer Edition, 2021. It will run till August 15.

With COVID-19 protocols in place, the public is invited to view the works of these contemporary artists working through the changing motions of a global pandemic.

The first presentation of “… and I resumed the struggle” in December 2020 was the immediate guttural response to the moment of the pandemic. This summer exhibition is juxtaposed as a continuing dialogue of the first iteration and presents the discourse between the artists and moments of both periods.

The featured artists are Zorhia Allen, Greg Bailey, Kimani Beckford, John Campbell, Camille Chedda, Tishana Fisher, Shediene Fletcher, Gisele Gardner, Renard Harris, Daniel Harrison, Jordan Harrison, Malcolm Lindsay, Audrey Lynch, Oliver Myrie, K. Khalfani Ra, T’waunii Sinclair, and Phillip Thomas.

Online artist discussion panels will be held on Saturday July 24 and 31 at 11 a.m.

The exhibition is open Monday to Saturday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., excepting public holidays. Admission is free.
