JN Bank employee wins BMW

Little did Janice Mills, relationship manager at JN Premier, know that when she posed for a photo opportunity inside the grand prize BMW motor car at the launch of the JN Gladiators Ultimate Sales Champion, two years ago, that she would end up winning the 'the ultimate driving machine'.

Amid much fanfare in the JN chief office's car park on May 12, Mills' name was picked from a box of eligible contenders in the grand draw for the JN sales champion, and she was presented with the keys to a new, white BMW 120I hatchback.

The second-place winner, Camille Lewis, member service representative at the Half-Way-Tree branch, won a resort vacation valued at $100,000.

Both winners were ecstatic as they accepted their prizes, which were presented by Maureen Hayden-Cater, managing director, JN Bank.

"I was so relieved when my name was called!" Mills exclaimed. "I worked so hard to exceed my targets. Whatever I set out to do, I go the extra mile to achieve it. And customer service is paramount to me as my aim is to make customers happy."

Mills, the second-longest-serving JN employee, with 38 years of service at the Jamaica National Building Society, now JN Bank, seemingly has a winning streak. She disclosed that she has lost count of the times she has won prizes in competitions.

"I won monthly and quarterly prizes in JN sales competitions, in addition to several gate prizes for weekends for two at hotels, dinners for two, appliances, and gift baskets. The first and only time I purchased a lotto ticket, I won. And, recently, I entered a promotion at a gas station and won a cash gift certificate."

None of those prizes, however, compares to the thrill of winning the BMW.

"Many persons called to congratulate me. It's my first time owning a BMW, therefore, I'm looking forward to the 'promised' driving experience. I am also thankful to my colleagues, family, and friends, who were integral in the sales process. Most of all, I am thankful to JN for having introduced this prize initiative to motivate employees," she said.
