Tasty medal haul

The team medalled in all seven categories at the region’s premier culinary showcase held in June in Miami, Florida. They won: gold medal – Chef of the Year; gold medal – Team of the Year; silver medal – Cheesecake; silver medal – Bartender of the Year; bronze medal – Beef and Seafood; bronze medal – Pastry Chef of the Year; and bronze medal – Junior Chef of the Year. The Tourism Enhancement Fund has sponsored Jamaica’s participation in the Taste of the Caribbean competition annually since 2013 at a cost of more than $11 million.
