♦ VM Wealth Management has partnered with online trading platform operator Interactive Brokers to give its clients access to trading US stocks. Through VM Wealth, persons who want to utilise the platform will be provided with a link and login information, allowing them to place funds in an account – a minimum investment of US$2,000 is required – and commence trading.
♦ Eva Mitchell, who has been acting as CEO of the Trinidad and Tobago Stock Exchange Limited and its depository since last October, has been confirmed in the position, effective April 1, 2021.
♦ Jamaican stock market companies, whose audited accounts and annual reports would have been due by April 30, have been given a 45-day extension by the Jamaica Stock Exchange. The JSE previously gave a similar extension for reports that were due by end-March.
♦ Courier company Mailpac Group Limited has launched its own prepaid shopping card, in partnership with the ePayment Group – the Mailpac ePay Mastercard.
