Sol Group acquires Texaco operations in Jamaica from GB Energy

The Sol Group has acquired all of the Jamaican assets held by GB Energy, including its retail, aviation, LPG/Autogas, commercial and lubricants activities.

There are 72 service stations in Jamaica carrying the Texaco brand.

"This strengthens Sol’s presence in Jamaica, as well as its leading position and strategic growth in the region. We are very excited to welcome the local team to our Sol organisation and look forward to continuing to serve our partners and customers together, to deliver safe and reliable high-quality products, innovative programs and promotions,” said General Manager Karoline Smith in a press release.

Sol is the largest independent fuel marketer in the Caribbean and has presence in 22 markets in the Caribbean, Central and South America. Its privately held by the Simpson Group out of Barbados.
