Jamaica's top designers ready for StyleWeek 2015

The StyleWeek Jamaica 2015 runways will feature a dizzying array of Jamaica's best designers showcasing their Spring/Summer 2016 Collections. As expected, anticipation is at fever pitch as to which designers will be on show.

Saint International, organisers of the event, announced that almost 30 designers will be on show this year. A global cast, including designers from Paris, London and New York, will join Jamaica's best. Among the big-name Jamaican flag-bearers are Courtney Washington, Spokes Apparel will join Avant Garde Designer champions TNT Fashions by Simone Gordon, Kurt Campbell and Gregory H.O.D Williams. Other brands include Nina Knitwear, Elan, Pebbles King.

"Styleweek Jamaica is a carefully created showcase of the best from Jamaica's fashion industry. There is nothing like it and this uniqueness augurs well for the designers. Brand Jamaica's fashion DNA is manifested on the world stage," said Deiwght Peters, CEO of Saint International and creator of StyleWeek Jamaica.

The best designers always experience 'sold out' collections after their showing at StyleWeek Jamaica. After all, the business and value proposition of StyleWeek Jamaica is a formidable one. The event proves a most potent sale platform for the designers. The aesthetic created by all the fashion elements, including the models, is a big impact on the value optics of the designer's point of view. It augurs well for the overall vision and appeal to clients.

Saint International also reports that demand for tickets is at an all-time high, but explains that by design, there are limited tickets available to the general public. "The designer collections for the first few shows are shown to industry insiders, media and buyers. However, there are limited tickets available at a cost of US$45 for the International Mecca Of Style," Peters explains.

StyleWeek Jamaica runs from May 20-24 in Kingston. The fashion extravaganza will feature a dynamic mix of private receptions, glitzy runway shows, after-parties, photo-shoots and beach excursions. FashIonblock, the spectacular grand finale, will unfold on Knutsford Boulevard on Sunday, May 24, at 8:30 p.m. This event is free to the public and people from all walks of life, including overseas visitors, come to witness the fashion spectacle in the middle of our city streets.
