The United States-based 'Hey You Hey Me' launches its first event in Jamaica tomorrow with a singles road trip from Half-Way Tree, which will culminate at Palms of Eden in Runaway Bay, St Ann.

The bus leaves Burger King, Half-Way Tree at 8 a.m. and heads to the Garden Parish of St Ann for a day that the organisers have promised will be filled with great fun.

Founder of the event Hopeton Graham says the social event is organised to assist singles, who might be too busy with their daily lives to meet or find eligible partners.

He has had much success in hosting the event in the United States, and with the help of business consultant, event coordinator, and friend Keneisha Mitchell, Graham has decided to bring the 'Hey You Hey Me' concept back to his home country, Jamaica.

According to Graham, Hey You Hey Me Singles Road Trip is where single persons get to meet each other and have an excellent summer adventure outdoors.

Mitchell, who is also CEO of Face Impressions Modelling Agency, says, "Even if you do not make a connection with another single, we promise that your trip will be something to remember.

no pressure

He added: "We've planned a no-pressure, no-hassle, no-stress environment. There will be fun games, massages, great food, etc. This is an all-inclusive event, so come hang out with us, you're guaranteed a great time."

This particular event is not limited to Jamaica and in fact is open to people in the Caribbean or persons on vacation here. Already, there are five persons confirmed from the US.

The organisers have pulled out all the stops to make the event one to be remembered for all the right things.

The all-inclusive package, which costs $3,000, will include games; private gazebos; body massages; and food and drinks including jerk pork, curry mutton, mash potatoes, roast yam and salt-fish. Wine and cake will be served upon entry.
