Sean Paul second on Billboard Hot 100
Dancehall artiste Sean Paul has fallen to number two on the Billboard Hot 100 this week, after spending three weeks in the number one spot with the single Cheap Thrills. The Chainsmokers have taken over the top spot with their new record, Closer.
Dancehall artiste Popcaan also has a reason to celebrate, as Drake's single Too Good, which features a Popcaan sample. has climbed to the number 14 spot on the Hot 100. Too Good also features Rihanna.
Tory Lanez continues to climb the Hot 100 chart with his remake of Tanto Metro and Devonte's Everyone Falls In Love and now sits at number 30.
Meanwhile, on the Billboard 200 albums chart, popular DC Comic movie Suicide Squad has taken over the number one spot from Drake with the accompanying soundtrack album. The Suicide Squad soundtrack features music from artistes like Lil Wayne, Wiz Khalifa, Logic and Rick Ross, among others.
As it relates to Jamaica's presence on the Billboard 200 chart, only Bob Marley and the Wailers have managed to create an impact, with the album Legend climbing to number 92, from 94 last week.
On the reggae side of things, King Jammy's latest project, King Jammy Presents New Sounds of Freedom, debuted at number 10.
