Beyonce, Rihanna And Drake Lead Grammy Nominations

THE NOMINATIONS for the 59th annual Grammy Awards are out, and so far, Beyonce, Rihanna and Drake are leading the way.

Beyonce has a total of nine nominations, including in all major categories: Record of the Year, Song of the Year and Album of the Year.

Rihanna is also up for several awards this year, including Record of the Year, Best Pop Duo/Performance, Best R&B Performance, Best R&B Song, and Best Urban Contemporary Album.

Drake clocked in with multiple nominations including Album of the Year, Best Rap Song, and Best Rap Album.

While the big names got the big nominations, Twitter rejoiced when it was announced that newbie, Chance The Rapper, received a whooping seven nominations, including Best New Artist.

This follows a public campaign from the Chicago emcee, where he took out a full page ad and asked the Grammys, "Why Not Me?"

Other prominent nominees include Kanye West, Anderson Paak and Adele.
