Rising dancehall/hip-hop artiste Rohan Da Great is focusing on his philanthropic side with the launch of his Be Great and Inspire Inc non-profit organisation.

Through this channel he hopes to inspire change, and has extended a helping hand to those who are truly in need of food and other supplies.

Over the years, Rohan Da Great has tried to give back as much as he can, but decided to take things a little more seriously about a year ago when he and Techno Kidd Promotions offered meals to the homeless during the Easter holidays in Mandeville, Manchester. This year, he plans to take it even a step further and so officially unveiled his Be Great and Inspire Inc initiative.

“It has been a long time coming. This is something that I always wanted to do. I believe that once you are in a position to help, that is exactly what you should do,” he said.

COVID-19 RELIEF

The organisation’s first initiative was to provide COVD-19 relief to 50 families in Jamaica. Rohan Da Great partnered with Queen Jo Jo Promotion and the Urban Rastaman brand to make it happen. But due to COVID-19 restrictions and civil unrest in the US, it became very difficult to travel, get goods to Jamaica, and get the initial sponsorship support needed to provide the relief in a timely manner. Since waiting was not an option, they then decided to assist the Mustard Seed Communities.

“The Mustard Seed Communities, like many other homes, have been affected by COVID-19 and need all the assistance they can get to really continue the amazing job they are already doing,” Rohan Da Great said. Meanwhile, Rohan Da Great is still on the promotional trail for his latest EP, 6 Love.
