Dream Entertainment, the organiser of Dream Weekend, has announced that, ahead of its 14th staging in 2023, there will no longer be a general section at their Negril-based flagship festival.

Dream Entertainment’s Managing Director Scott Dunn stated that the decision to implement the new all-VIP festival came about as the VIP sales for Dream Weekend’s 2022 staging sky-rocketed. “Consumers are demanding the very best, whether it’s designer goods or luxury experiences. Dreamers want to rub shoulders with our celebrity guests whilst drinking premium liquor, and enjoy the delicious food from our caterers. In 2023 and beyond, we are ensuring that every Dream patron can enjoy these amenities,” said Dunn.

Dream Weekend Festival Director P.J. Wright echoed Dunn’s sentiments and went on to add that patron feedback also contributed to the shift. “After listening to our patrons, it was very clear we needed to make a change,” Wright said. “Those persons in VIP had the best weekend of their lives, whilst those in the general area felt a little distant from the action.”

Wright noted that the management team at Dream Entertainment was left with two choices: improve the general (knowing full well it would never match up to VIP) or allow everyone to have that VIP experience at a price accessible to all. The decision, they said in a release, was an obvious one: make everyone a VIP.

When quizzed on what the patron VIP experience will look like, Wright shared that patrons will have access to all eight Dream Weekend events, which will be food-and- drink inclusive. All international patrons will have access to Club MoBay’s VIP Arrival Service at the Sangster International Airport, free shuttle service in Negril for all, expedited and secure access to all events and, finally, every patron will have a chance to get close to the stage.

Dunn shared that patrons who book their tickets by December 15 will experience added perks at the 2023 staging: “The patrons who purchase early will receive exclusive Dream Weekend merchandise, celebrity meet-and-greet opportunities, private party access, and discounted tours and attractions.” Tickets for Dream Weekend 2023 are now on sale at www.dreamwknd.com.
