Real V.I inspiring through Life Lesson
Seasoned singer and songwriter Real V.I hopes to inspire the hearts of Jamaicans through the song Life Lesson the title track for his album Life Lessons.
The song mimics Real V.I's situation, and he anticipates that people going through difficult circumstances will be motivated by the lyrics.
It is one of several inspirational musics on Life Lessons, which also comprises Entrepreneur, Last Laugh featuring Ginjah and Broken System featuring Oshawny.
According to the focussed and poised Real V.I, christened Cosmo Watson, he finds muse from life’s challenges and the cries of the world, which he constantly champion through writing and performing heartwarming motivational tunes. He says that Life Lessons speaks to people being champions of their respective situations.
In 2003, he encountered two masked gunmen. He was shot, which paralysed him and left him in a wheelchair. The situation derailed his opportunity as it proved to be a setback to his music career.
“That was the year when I became a victim of the harsh realities of my community by simply being at the wrong place at the wrong time,” Real V.I said.
He eventually accepted the circumstances of the tragic event, which he continues to fight to overcome, hoping that he is not seen for his situation as being a sad one or that it has gotten him down.
Instead, he has embraced the circumstances as he is grateful that he got a chance to know what it is to walk, seeing that there are people who were born with disabilities that prevented them from having that experience.
The wheelchair has become a permanent part of Real V.I's life, but it has not deterred him from championing his dreams.
Real V. I is slated to perform on several shows as he continues to celebrate life’s lessons.
Real V.I’s music is available on all digital platforms.
