Judith Gayle to launch eighth studio album
December 9 event to double as birthday celebration, praise fest
NEW YORK, NY:
Pastor Judith A. Gayle is aiming to take her Miracle World Outreach Ministries to a new level.
The award-winning evangelist from Clarendon, Jamaica, will launch her eighth studio album on December 9 at a gala event at the Astoria World Manor in Astoria, Queens, New York.
Dubbed ‘How Excellent’, the same name as her new album, the event will double as a birthday celebration.
When pressed about the number of years she’s marking, Gayle would only say that she is leaving patrons and parishioners to continue to guess that number – her age – for the time being but she does talk about what the event means to her.
“Looking ahead to next year, I thought this would be an encouraging way to offer thanks and blessings for all that we have accomplished, while praying for more blessings as we continue to do God’s work,” offered Gayle, as she took what appears to be a nervous glance at her daily schedule.
When she is not ministering with music to a congregation, this proud country girl enjoys cooking, writing, fashion designing and community outreach through a feeding programme and counselling.
To say her church community loves her may be an understatement, as she is always “doing something” for someone else, which explains why her church community in the Jamaica township, is considered one of the fastest growing in the borough of Queens, the most ethnically-diverse section of New York City.
Celebrating alongside Pastor Gayle will be some of the best-known gospel artistes, including Dr KJ, Jabez and DJ Nicholas. WBLS Radio’s Liz Black will serve as mistress of ceremonies for the evening.
The treat and the offerings are decidedly holiday-flavoured. There is praise and worship, album giveaways, a fashion show – with prizes for the Best Dressed Male and Female patron, topped off with a five-course dinner, all starting at 6 p.m.
Earlybird tickets are now on sale on Eventbrite.
Gayle has used the gospel music platform to transform her life and the lives of countless others, with a worldwide outreach ministry and a foundation benefiting her homeland.
