Editor's note - Exceeding expectations
There's something about birthdays that just makes you feel happy inside. That's how we at Flair Magazine are feeling today as we celebrate 30 years as Jamaica's leading women's weekly.
Our focus has been, since 1984, to deliver to our readers the most useful, interesting and thought-provoking stories tailored specifically for women, but with universal appeal and significance. Our men have not been left out either, and so, at the end of each month, we cater specifically to them with our Men's Issue. The Flair team has changed a lot over the years, but our commitment to this goal and to our readers has never faltered. And it never will.
My personal journey with Flair started 11 years ago, and in 2013 when I was given the task to lead the magazine's editorial content, I knew I had a huge responsibility to uphold the standards set by past editors, and to meet the expectations of diverse and discerning readers. We live in a complicated time, and no one knows better than us women, how important it is to stay on top of our game. It's our job at Flair to help you do just that. By pulling on the best local and international sources, we'll continue to provide the tips, tricks, secrets and inspiration that will help our women to be as fabulous, brilliant and successful as they can be.
We have a lot of exciting things planned for Flair. At 30 we've only just begun. Our sisterhood is bigger than ever and, with our expanding online presence, it's growing every week. The journey from here onwards will be a fun ride as together we navigate our changing world. What it will bring, we don't know. But one thing's for sure - we'll be taking it on with confidence, enthusiasm, and, of course, with Flair.
