The recently concluded World Athletics Championships in Beijing, China, was, for many athletes, the culmination of countless weeks, months and years of training. Being among the best in your country to make it to the championships is no easy feat – getting on to the podium is even harder. As the athletes cross the finish line, complete their final jump or throw, the expression on their faces says it all – their dreams have come true.
