RW ambassador Regina McCallum digs into her main course while dining at Caffé da Vinci earlier this week.

Nestled in The Courtyard at Market Place, is a warm and welcoming Italian spot like no other - Caffe da Vinci. Restaurant Week ambassador Regina McCallum and her husband, Rasheed, got to preview the delectable offerings that would be available for Restaurant Week, and they were thrilled.

"I love the decor, it's modern, but still edgy. The restaurant looks sophisticated, it's like a modern Italian vibe in Jamaica," Regina stated before deciding to brush up on her Italian. "Perfetto," she said.

The restaurant, which is usually open every day, will be open for dinner during Restaurant Week for dinner, and a reservation is recommended.

Both Regina and her husband opted to have Crema di Zucca (cream of pumpkin soup) for appetiser, entrÈe - Pesce alla Griglia (Mediterrean-style grilled fish) and the Spaghetti di Mare (seafood pasta with lobster, shrimp and calamari in fresh tomato sauce or olive oil and fresh herbs).

They were only rave reviews for these delectable Italian dishes in the heart of Kingston.

The white chocolate strawberry cheesecake for Regina and Dolce and Banana (bread pudding served with ice cream) added the final touches for a meal that was deemed as absolutely delectable for this savoury category restaurant.

"I'm a chocolate fan, but they only had white chocolate, but it really was more enjoyable than I expected," Regina admitted. Rasheed was equally pleased with his choice. "I love the touch of coffee in the bread pudding. It really perked me up after that nice meal."

Not to be outdone, Rasheed ended his meal with a bit of Italian. "Arrivederci," he said with a smile.
