Jamaican sprint legend Veronica Campbell-Brown and leading shot put standout O'Dayne Richards were last night named captains for Jamaica's track-and-field team at the Rio 2016 Olympic Games.
The decision was made after a lengthy team meeting inside the Olympic Village.
Campbell-Brown is one of Jamaica's most decorated athletes in history, with seven Olympic medals, including three gold medals and 11 World ChampionshipS medals in an illustrious career.
Richards has lifted Jamaica's standing in field events after winning a bronze medal at last year's World Championships in Beijing, China.
He is the national record holder with a mark of 21.69m.
