A third-form student of Jamaica College was stabbed and killed on a bus near the school yesterday afternoon by a man attempting to steal his cell phone.
He is Nicholas Francis, who was from the same form as another student who recently died of natural causes.
Reports are that Francis boarded a green Coaster bus in the vicinity of Blue Castle Drive on Old Hope Road in St Andrew.
He was stabbed in the hand and chest by his assailant after resisting demands for his cell phone.
Francis was then thrown from the bus and broke his arm in the fall. The driver of the bus took him to the University Hospital of the West Indies, where he died.
Francis played an active role at the funeral for 14-year-old Jordan Miller, who died at home in late August.
