One more COVID death, record 245 new cases in a day

There are now 1,374 active cases including 14 moderately ill and four critical.

Jamaica today recorded another COVID death pushing the tally to 21.

The deceased is a 28-year-old year old woman from St James.

Meanwhile, there was a record 245 new cases increasing the total to 2,357.

There are now 1,374 active cases including 14 moderately ill and four critical with 85 people currently in hospital.

Recoveries remain at 890.

Of the newly confirmed cases, 116 are females and 100 are males with ages ranging from two weeks to 90 years.

The Health Ministry said the gender classification for 29 of the new cases are still being investigated.
