Kudos, Alligator Pond Primary and Infant School

I must commend the principal of the Alligator Pond Primary and Infant School for the great initiative taken in launching a boys' reading programme at the school. I wish to suggest to the Regional Office of the Ministry of Education that this initiative should be copied by schools facing the challenge of getting boys to be readers.

I wish also that Education Minister Ronald Thwaites could visit this noble institution, nestled in a unique fishing village, and see the great job this principal is doing for our community.

I am a proud citizen of this community and I wish to thank this woman who travels daily from Mandeville to impact boys at Alligator Pond Primary and Infant. This is great growth, especially for a fishing village. I am positive also that she will be honoured some day for getting the community this far in literacy. Mr Minister, consider this a great move for our community and for the school.
