Shame on Bunting for Labourite slur

The remark made by National Security Minister Peter Bunting, that high-ranking members of the Jamaica Labour Party are acting like a set of john crows, was wrong on all levels.

In a country where the murder toll passed 600 in the seventh month of the year, the minister's stooping to that level of nastiness, when he should be addressing the high rate of homicide in Jamaica, speaks volumes.

First off, what is happening as it relates to the high incidence of crime transcends the JLP and PNP. It is a Jamaican crisis. When the lives of four people can be snuffed out, as happened on Sunday in Whithorn, Westmoreland, we must realise we have a serious problem.

Jamaicans need to get off their asses, stop pontificating over politicians, and demand action. This madness can't continue.

If members of the JLP wish to make the devastating effects of crime a platform to score political points, let them, as that will speak volumes as to where their interest really lies.
