Praising LIME, Flow for sports sponsorship

Published:Friday | August 14, 2015 | 12:00 AM

Kudos to the LIME and Flow team for their continued support of the development of sport in Jamaica, in particular their sizable sponsorship of $28 million to the Jamaica Athletics Administrative Association (JAAA).

The JAAA and the Jamaica's track team are heavily in need of support, and it might not be stated explicitly, but it takes cash to care. Assistance is needed to take care of medical bills, travelling expense, training expenses, among others, which are very costly. I am thrilled to see corporate Jamaica noticing this and offering its support.

Following their major partnership with the Inter-Secondary Schools Sports Association to stage the Boys and Girls Champs, as well as the hosting of the LIME Super Cup and Street Futsal, the company has shown it is committed to nation building through sport.

Let's hope, as the companies merge into one, they will continue to support Jamaica, and more corporate companies will join the cause so that Jamaica can maintain its dominant position in world athletics.
