Plea to Guardian Life for tanks

Published:Tuesday | August 18, 2015 | 11:53 AM

This is an open letter to Eric Hosin, president of Guardian Life.

I note with pleasure your decision to fund 10 water tanks to 10 police stations in the Corporate Area.

I am sure you will note that Senior Superintendent of Police Cornwall 'Bigga' Ford is adamant that what is happening in his and other police areas is a social and not a criminal problem.

I am also sure you are aware that President Obama noted that the expansion of police power versus social ambitions resulted in the consequential expansion of the prisons in the States.

Social programmes are best addressed by education. I ask you, therefore, to similarly donate 10 tanks to 10 high schools that are facing severe water problems in the Corporate Area.

Again, I congratulate you on your civic-mindedness and I hope you will be a catalyst for other corporate support among the rest.
