THE EDITOR, Sir:

I do hope that Prime Minister Portia Simpson Miller now sees the writing on the wall. Rushing into an election destroyed Andrew Holness and is now set to destroy her. As a long time supporter of the Peoples National Party (PNP) I am disappointed with the way my party is performing in government.

For Prime Minister Simpson Miller to be sheltering so many failing members of government despite the availability of talent in the Party makes no sense.

Dr Fenton Ferguson and Robert Pickersgill have done their time and need to be ushered off into retirement. The mere fact that babies have been dying from a mystery bug at hospitals and we are finding this out after weeks is a national disgrace.

throw in the towel

Health and water issues are of serious concern to the Jamaican people and those Ministers will go down as the worst and among the most arrogant ever in our post independence history - further damaging brand PNP and the Prime Minister herself.

The lack of jobs and profitable businesses is of course the big elephant in the room. Investment Minister Anthony Hylton also too needs to throw in the towel.

It is time for the Prime Minister to remove the cancer of failure in her government. Shake up the cabinet and put the Fenton Fergusons, Anthony Hyltons and Robert Pickersgills into forced retirement. That will be a boost for the fortune of the PNP.
