Local Muslims condemn bloody Paris attacks

THE EDITOR, Sir:
The Islamic Council of Jamaica (ICOJ), the umbrella organisation for all Muslim communities in Jamaica, vehemently condemns the acts of terror and violence that occurred recently in Paris, leaving more than 120 people dead and 350 injured.
These savage and despicable attacks on civilians, whether they occur in Paris, Maiduguri, the West Bank or any other city across the world, are outrageous and find no justification. We condemn these horrific crimes in the strongest possible terms.
The perpetrators of these heinous attacks must be apprehended and brought to justice. Our thoughts and prayers are with the loved ones of those killed and injured and with all of France and, by extension, the world.
