Good going, RUBiS Red Hills Road

THE EDITOR, Sir:

I usually purchase gas at one of three gas stations. About four weeks ago, I stopped at the RUBiS station on Red Hills Road (one of my three) to use the convenience store. I didn't purchase any fuel that particular day, but used my credit card to pay for the items and left.

Two weeks after the exercise, I returned to the station to purchase fuel. I was summoned to speak with the cashier and owner. They explained that on my previous visit, they had overcharged my credit card in error. They asked if I had the receipt for the purchases - who keeps receipts for convenience store purchases! Not to worry, the owner took my details, and a few days later, I was refunded fully.

For me, that's good business - and also allowing me to not have to dip into my pocket for fuel for a week worked well.

Good business better than pocket money!
