Clean up the music now

THE EDITOR, Sir:
Are we making any progress pertaining to the many complains we have made about lewd music in Jamaica? Are the Government and the Opposition standing with us in this matter?
In days gone by, Jamaica was blessed with two powerful radio stations: RJR and JBC. But now, we are very fortunate in having many more radio stations.
But, in my opinion, many of these radio stations are not playing good songs that can elevate our people and our children. Most of the time, when I am in public places, I hear songs and lyrics that are violent; that are only bringing more misery and pain to our country.
The music industry in Jamaica needs cleaning up.
