Catherine Hall too small for Sumfest

Published:Wednesday | July 24, 2019 | 12:31 AM

I attended the recent Sumfest and I strongly agree with Mr Bogdanovich that the Catherine Hall venue is too small.

The crowd size was too much for the venue and made it difficult to see or enjoy the artistes’ performance. The crowdedness also made it easy for pickpockets and purse robbers to ply their trade.

Parking was a nightmare. I suggest that the event be moved to the Bloomfield Soccer Stadium in Trelawny, where the great jazz and blues concert events were held. That would be much more manageable and comfortable for attendees.

We should also ask Mr Bogdanovich and his team to promote the jazz and blues event annually. The Tourist Board should lead these efforts since business is booming and we need these events to continue to be successful.
