Toni-Ann has given Jamaica a beautiful Christmas gift
THE EDITOR, Madam:
Cliff Hughes, one of the best journalists Jamaica has ever had, said that Toni-Ann Singh has given him a Christmas gift, because she has won the Miss World title.
“This is my Christmas gift, and it should be our Christmas gift, too,” said Hughes.
We should all agree with Cliff. Yes indeed, she has given Jamaica a beautiful Christmas present. So amazing!
Hughes is the moderator for the programme, ‘Cliff Hughes on Line’, which is aired on Nationwide 90 FM, weekdays from 10:00 a.m. to 12:55 p.m. He should be congratulated and given a national award for doing such a good job, especially in helping people and uncovering their painful stories, bringing them forward.
Let me get back to this beautiful young lady from Bath, St Thomas – Toni-Ann Singh. She has given Jamaica a fourth Miss World title in winning the global beauty crown. It was a stunning victory.
And, like our track and field athletes, singers, boxers, cricketers and others sports stalwarts, she has put Jamaica once again into the brightest international limelight. So, we say, congratulations Toni-Ann, for making us proud.
Jamaica would be the best country in the world if crime and violence, the murderers and criminals, the corruption and the lewd music had not destroyed its good reputation.
