Stop blaming the Gov’t and take responsibility

THE EDITOR, Madam:

Why do we blame the Government for everything that goes wrong? Aren’t people in the Government humans like all of us, and are trying their best to make things work?

Over the past three days, there have been a large number of COVID-19 cases reported, for which it is the people who need to be blamed and not the Government. Have you taken a stroll in downtown Kingston and seen how many people are going about their business with no masks, or no social distancing.

Wear masks, sanitise, keep social distancing was the message that our Government put out day in, day out. When the people choose to ignore these warning, and now that COVID-19 on the rise, everybody is in a panic mode.

There is nobody else to be blamed but us; we need to stop being stubborn and adhere to protocols and rules, or else all of us will suffer. When will we learn, when all hell breaks loose and there is chaos everywhere?
