COVID-19 czar needed
THE EDITOR, Madam:
There must be an easier way for the public to access the COVID-19 vaccinations. In managing the vaccine supply, there should be an interlinked database of persons who are to receive their first jab, who have received their first jab, who are to receive their second jab, and who have received their second jab; as well as the logistics created and employed to fulfil the Government’s goal to vaccinate as many persons as possible, via blitzes and the presence/function of normal, everyday vaccination roll-outs.
It seems to me that there are some clear and present inefficiencies with the logistical capabilities of the Government’s vaccination roll-out programme.
I think the time has come for the Government to select a COVID-19 czar. Some names that readily come to mind are Lt Col Jamie Ogilvie, Carol Narcisse, Kenny Benjamin, Professor Gordon Shirley, and Commander John McFarlane.
