Donna Gowe deserves a national award
THE EDITOR, Madam:
Allow me space in your prestigious newspaper to point out to the people of this country that Miss Donna Gowe of Mountain View deserves to be awarded by the Government of Jamaica for the work she is doing.
She has turned Mountain View inner city into a village, building and furnishing houses for residents – somewhere that people are proud to call home.
She should be considered for one of those awards that are given in October on Heroes Day. I am asking the committee that selects recipients to consider Miss Donna Gowe for a national honour.
Auntie Donna, as she is called, has been doing a remarkable job of building houses and blessing the homeless with food and money obtained from donors.
