When our leaders weep

THE EDITOR, Madam:

President Barack Obama became very emotional and wiped tears from his eyes when he spoke after the shooting massacre of 20 children at the Sandy Hook school in Connecticut. He wasn’t accused of being soft, weak, or out of his depth. On the contrary, he was lauded for his open display of concern and empathy.
