What is the total compensation, Dr Clarke?

THE EDITOR, Madam:
Minister Nigel Clarke, why is there no mention of the benefits, which may be greater than 25 per cent of base salaries, that come with this huge salary package for politicians under this new public-sector compensation regime?
Why not tell the country what the new total compensation will be? How will these increases be paid for? Who is making the sacrifices? Or what will be sacrificed?
We can’t afford to buy a gadget to detect and determine where the gunshots are fired from to address the gun issues and public safety but we can afford these recurring compensations. Nice job!
Tell us, Minister Clarke. We need to know.
