CSEC grade-review confusion

THE EDITOR, Madam:
The conflicting deadlines to apply for review of grades awarded by the Caribbean Examinations Council (CXC) in this recent Caribbean Education Certificate Examinations (CSEC) have resulted in some candidates missing out on the opportunity to have their results reviewed.
The Caribbean Examinations Council communicated that the deadline for application was Friday, September 22. However, the Overseas Examinations Commission said the deadline was Tuesday, September 19.
It would be preferred if all the entities handling such matters are on the same page, to prevent unnecessary stress and confusion, and also to not place any candidate who wish to participate in the process at a disadvantage.
