Rudolph Brown Usain Bolt sandwiched by his parents Wellesley and Jennifer after they were presented with a special award before their son cropped the top honours of The Gleaner Man of the Year for the third time.

The 37th Gleaner Honour Awards celebration came to a close in legendary style earlier today at The Jamaica Pegasus hotel in New Kingston.

Star athlete Usain St Leo Bolt was awarded the Gleaner Honour Awards  Man of the Year title for a third time. The Gleaner Company Media Limited made it extra special for the sprinter this time around by adding a special touch to this year's award.

Bolt was presented with a plaque by Managing Director Christopher Barnes who asked the sprinter to read the inscription. It was only then that Bolt realised that the plaque was inscribed with the names Wellesley and Jennifer Bolt — Usain's parents.

Bolt, clearly touched by the gesture, as was everyone else in the room, presented the award to his parents, making the honour a true family affair.
