Actor Shawn Ashmore once said: "Style is a reflection of your attitude and your personality.”

It's safe to say that Style Week Jamaica definitely ups the ante in reflecting not only attitude and personality, but culture as well.

Last Friday night, socialites and fashion aficionados turned out in large numbers at the Spanish Court Hotel in St Andrew for the launch of Style Week Jamaica 2017. Saint International Jamaica is promising that its annual fashion event will be the best yet, as agency celebrates 13 years of fine style.

According to the company’s CEO, Deiwght Peters, “Style Week provides an eclectic and authentically Jamaican platform for our designers with shows taking place at historic venues across the city if Kingston, making the capital the premiere fashion or lifestyle destination. We also wanted to create an international platform to celebrate the glitz and glam side of Jamaica, and show our aesthetic beauty, as well our passion for fashion to the rest of the world.”

Guests heard from the sponsors, who were happy to be on board for this innovative fashion venture. They were also introduced to some of the modelling stars sweeping the international scene with their fierceness, and were also treated to a taste of fashion, courtesy of local designers set to take over the runway for Style Week Jamaica 2017.

Style Week will run over four nights. They will kick-off the style series with Posh in Black Style Ambassadors Blast-off Party, this Wednesday at Campari Headquarters on Dominica Drive. On Thursday, they ditch the night and focus on the day with a Career in International Fashion Symposium at The Jamaica Pegasus hotel. From there, an evening of elegance with French Elan will follow on Friday at the residence of the French Ambassador. Then they'll take fashion to the skies with International Mecca of Style at the Roof of Digicel World Headquarters in Downtown Kingston on Saturday, before making a final stop at Knutsford Boulevard, New Kingston for FashionBlock.

So, make it a date and celebrate fashion and style with StyleWeek Jamaica 2017.
