School administrators across Jamaica have been embracing the use of technology to revolutionise the management of their institutions.

The RenWeb School Management System (SMS), pioneered in Jamaica by Zed Jamaica, is one such technology.

During the recent Zed-Makeyla Awards, held to recognise the schools that have successfully implemented the software into their operations, many principals lauded the school management system as a game-changer and an effective tool to manage their schools.

Several schools were singled out for awards at the ceremony. These include Wolmer's Girls, Immaculate Conception High, Jamaica College, Campion College, Calabar High, St George's College, Ardenne High, St Elizabeth Technical High, Alpha Academy, the Belair Schools, Holy Childhood High, Bethlehem College, International University of the Caribbean, and Mount Alvernia High.

Zed Jamaica has ranked these schools among the top institutions in the Caribbean for the use of the management system.

Four other schools have also won special awards in the categories of primary, prep, preschool and non-traditional school. These are, respectively, Clan Carthy Primary, Holy Childhood Prep, A-2-Zed Learning Centre, and Tarrant High.
