The Gleaner has just launched an exciting new initiative dubbed GBeat. It is a free email service that delivers top stories to readers daily.

Sherine Williams, the Gleaner's engagement coordinator, notes that GBeat is a special way of meeting users at their point of need on a regular basis.

"GBeat is all about convenience," Williams explained. "It's all about us doing the work for our users. You can go about your daily lives while we package and send your favourite stories at the end of each day so you can enjoy them at any time."

You may sign up at and choose your favourite from one of seven beats, including business, education, sports, and politics.

At the end of each week and each month, GBeat subscribers will also be sent the most popular Gleaner stories online.
