Suspect linked to Westmoreland quadruple killing in custody
The Westmoreland police have taken one man into custody in relation to yesterday's shooting death of four men, including a schoolboy, in the parish.
Commander of the Area 1 Police, in which Westmoreland falls, Assistant Commissioner of Police, Paul Ferguson says the man turned in himself to the police today in the presence of his attorney.
Some residents of Whithorn, where the incident occurred, remain in fear following the incident.
Yesterday, ACP Ferguson said lottery scamming and a year-long gang feud played key roles in what is the fourth quadruple killing in Jamaica since the start of the year.
According to reports, the four men were at a shop in Old Road Sunday afternoon playing a video game when four men approached and shot them.
The deceased have been identified as 14-year-old Shawn Clayton, 20-year-old Romario Drummond, 22-year-old Theodore Tennant and 16-year-old Demar Doeman.
