Recognising the growing fitness niche and demand for options to suit varying lifestyles, the concept of Express Fitness 24/7 was born. The local chain has grown to a total of seven gyms islandwide - Mandeville, Portmore, Montego Bay, at the Digicel headquarters in downtown Kingston, Manor Centre, New Kingston Business Centre, and now an expanded Savanna-la-Mar branch. With more than 3,100 square feet of space in Beckford Plaza, Savanna-la-Mar, this expansion serves its members' demand for more space and increased activities.
Furnished with state-of-the-art equipment, members are able to access the gyms at their convenience, regardless of time, since they are always open, with access granted with the swipe of a membership card.
According to marketing and sales executive Alex Morrison, the concept of members having access to the gyms 24 hours per day was a strategic move to encourage persons to incorporate exercise into their daily lives.
"Our members can decide what time they want to go to the gym without worrying about the gym closing or what time it will be opening. They can go at their convenience. All our gyms have surveillance cameras and are protected by KingAlarm Systems," he explained.
On an aggressive mission to encourage and promote health and fitness in Jamaica, the establishment's objective of providing ease of access to the gyms is one of the main factors contributing to several branches
The gyms are housed with instructors between 8:30 a.m. and
7 p.m. on Mondays to Fridays and from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturdays. Upon registration, each member will receive a complimentary one-on-one personal training and goal-setting session with an instructor, who will also tailor a meal plan and workout programme ideal to address individual health and fitness needs and goals.
