The South East Regional Health Authority (SERHA) has advised that the Denham Town Health Centre in Kingston will reopen on Monday.

The Health Centre was closed temporarily on Wednesday in light of the violence affecting the community.

The move also came a day after police constable Lynden Barrett was killed in the community.

Chairman of the board of the South East Regional Health Authority, Dr Andrei Cooke, says the authority has met with stakeholders including the police and is now comfortable that the environment is safe for it to resume offering health services.

He says the staff that was redeployed to the Edgerton Chin Loy and Comprehensive Health Centres have been advised to report to the Denham Town Health Centre on Monday morning.
