Red Stripe’s Nicholas Bogle, logistics and customer service manager, collects the Jamaica Exporters Association ‘Best Caricom Exporter’ Award from Diane Edwards, president of JAMPRO, at the recent JEA Awards Dinner.

Red Stripe walked away with the ?Best Caricom Exporter Award? at the recent Jamaica Exporters? Association Awards held at the Jamaica Pegasus hotel. This is a first for Red Stripe and is a tangible endorsement for the work the company is doing to deliver profitable export growth. The award also reflects the focus and rigour Red Stripe has put in its export business, establishing a dedicated export team led by Jean Look Tong, head of Red Stripe International.

?I have always maintained that the success of our export business is a collective effort from all our team members across the different departments,? said Look Tong. ?We have a big agenda for the new financial year which is to embed Red Stripe even deeper in the global community and enable greater future employment opportunities for Jamaicans.?

In the financial year ending June 30, Red Stripe?s exports saw a 20 per cent increase versus the previous financial year, broke into new Caricom markets such as Trinidad & Tobago and Dominica and extended its product line in Belize.

Red Stripe?s export growth was driven through stronger relationship building with its distributor partners, portfolio expansion in existing markets and new market entry. Red Stripe was officially launched in Trinidad and its D&G Malta and Rum brands? distribution extended to the United States. Red Stripe also broadened its footprint in Latin America with entry into Honduras and expanded distribution in Canada and Great Britain.
