Everald Warmington, Member of Parliament for South West St Catherine, raises his notebook to hit the camera of a Gleaner intern while at a meeting at the Belmont Road headquarters today.

A female intern representing The Gleaner was roughed up by Jamaica Labour Party (JLP) Member of Parliament Everald Warmington.

The incident occurred during an expletive-laden tirade, a short while ago at the JLP's Belmont Road headquarters.

According to our reporter, Warmington pushed the camera in the possession of the young woman as she worked with a senior colleague.

Warmington was reprimanded by a colleague from another media house but this was also met by another bout of expletives.

The assault came as members of the Parliamentary group of the JLP piled into the Belmont Road headquarters of the party for the critical caucus on the future of the organisation under the leadership of Andrew Holness.
