Wanted man captured in Mobay

One man who was reportedly wanted by the police is now in custody following a special operation at a nightclub on Gloucester Avenue in Montego Bay, St. James today.

The Montego Bay Police say the accused was wanted in connection with the murder of Jermaine Jackson who was shot dead along Gloucester Avenue in the parish on June 28.

Jackson was shot after his car was intercepted by another motorcar from which a gunman alighted and opened fire.

Jackson was found with multiple gun shot wounds and was taken to hospital where he was pronounced dead.

The police say the identity of the man in custody is being withheld pending further investigations.
