The National Water Commission is advising that mechanical issues affecting the Greater Mandeville Water Supply System in Manchester is causing a disruption in supply to some customers.

It says the system which serves sections of Manchester and St Elizabeth, is currently operating at 50 per cent capacity.

According to the NWC, as a result some customers will experience either low water pressure or periods without water.

The NWC says every effort is being made to complete the necessary repairs so that the water may be restored by Thursday.

The company says it apologises for any inconvenience this disruption has caused and craves the patience and understanding of customers.
