Police seeking help to identify gunman killed in Falmouth shootout

The Trelawny Police are seeking the help of the public to identify the body of a gunman who was shot dead when he allegedly challenged cops in a shootout following a robbery attempt in Falmouth on Friday.

The police say the deceased is of dark complexion, and medium build and was clad in a pair of red shorts, black and green underpants and a black shirt.

They say the man was also wearing a gold chain.

He was among four men who challenged the police in the Trelawny capital.

The other three were captured by the police.

One of them is in critical condition after being injured during the shooting.

In the meantime, the police are also seeking to identify another man who was found in bushes in the Calabar area of Rio Bueno in Trelawny on Saturday.

The man is believed to be in his early forties, is of brown complexion, slim build and was about 5 feet 6 inches long.

The police say it was clad in a blue merino and a pair of blue nylon shorts and had on a silver necklace, silver bracelet and a silver ring.
