Capitalise on Beijing publicity, says Chamber of Commerce head

Jamaica Chamber of Commerce president, Warren McDonald, says Jamaica needs to utilise the publicity from the World Championships to boost awareness of the Jamaican brand.

McDonald says with the impending opening up a partnership should be forged with Cuba to attract tourists from countries such as China.

A team from Jamaica's Tourism Ministry is currently in Beijing, China, marketing Jamaica.
The team includes Tourism Minister, Dr Wykeham McNeill and Director of Tourism, Paul Pennicook.
The ministry says they will participate in activities organised by the Jamaica Tourist Board aimed at marketing Jamaica as a destination and further strengthening the links between Jamaica and China.
